1000 ft buffer for Planning Department

The planning department sends me legal descriptions and I map it out. 

Create a 1000' buffer using the legal.

Now, select all parcels that are within the buffer zone.

 Export out a dbf table, open the dbf table with excel and save it as an excel file.

 The final step is to email the pdf map and the excel table back to the planning department.
